Every ingredient has a reason for being here.

Potassium-Forward Hydration

Potassium leads the mineral profile rather than sodium alone. Most electrolyte powders are built to replace an athlete's hour of hard sweat, so we built ours for the other 23 hours.

Dual-Source Magnesium

Two forms of magnesium: Magnesium citrate and Aquamin MgAG, a marine-derived source that also brings trace minerals, rather than relying on a single form alone.

Unrefined Australian Salt

Single origin sea salt harvested from a five million year old inland basin in Western Australia, NASAA Certified for Organic Input, not a generic blend.

Glycine for Cellular Hydration

Glycine plays a role in cellular hydration and supports protein production in the body, including collagen. Demand for it rises in late pregnancy, when tissue synthesis increases.

Coloured with Whole Foods

Every colour comes from real, whole food ingredients. Raspberry lemonade gets its colour from organic beetroot juice powder. Nothing artificial, ever.

Organic Monk Fruit

Organic monk fruit extract has zero sugar and zero glycaemic impact, with none of the digestive discomfort or aftertaste some people notice with sugar alcohols like erythritol.

The Physiology

Why we lead with potassium.

Sodium sits mostly outside your cells, potassium mostly inside. Keeping them on the right sides is constant work your body does all day and it needs enough of both. Most Australian diets supply plenty of one and not enough of the other.

Average intake vs. NHMRC Suggested Dietary Target

Sodium ~3,600mg average, 80% over target
Potassium ~3,600mg average, 23% under target

Source: NHMRC Nutrient Reference Values for Australia and New Zealand.

Same number, opposite verdict: Australians average roughly the same intake of both minerals, but that lands well over target for sodium and well under it for potassium. So we flipped it, potassium leads and sodium follows.

Electrolyte Essentials vs Conventional Electrolytes

Most sports electrolyte formulas give you sodium and not much else. Electrolyte Essentials gives you a system.

Why hydration matters

82% of Australians don't drink enough water.

How much you actually need

Source: NHMRC Nutrient Reference Values for Australia and New Zealand. Glasses based on 250mL.

Some days it's harder than the number suggests. The target doesn't move, but life does.

80%

Morning sickness isn't just mornings

Nausea affects up to 80% of pregnancies, and for most women it runs all day, which makes keeping fluids down the real challenge.

+500mL

Breastfeeding asks the most

The highest fluid target of any life stage. That's two extra glasses a day, during the months you have the least time to think about it.

95%

It gets harder with age

Up to 95% of older Australians fall short of the recommended intake, partly because the sensation of thirst fades over time.

Any day

Heat, illness and travel

An Australian summer, a long flight, a stomach bug or a broken night all raise the bar on the day you're least likely to be counting glasses.

Most electrolyte powders are built to replace an athlete's hour of hard sweat, so we built ours for the other 23 hours.

Ancient Basin Salt Origin

Unrefined Australian salt

We wanted to know exactly where the salt in our formula came from, so we went looking, and found it in an ancient inland basin in remote Western Australia, hundreds of kilometres from the nearest coast.

Over millions of years, westerly winds carried marine salts inland from the Indian Ocean into ancient river valleys. Those valleys once drained back to the sea - until the drainage closed and the minerals were stranded in dry country. The basin still works seasonally: winter rains dissolve the crust into a mineral-rich brine, then summer sun and dry wind draw the water off and fresh salt crystallises.

That crust is harvested each season with minimal intervention and crystallised by the sun rather than by chemical processing. Nothing is refined out and nothing is added back - no bleaching, no anti-caking agents so the salt keeps its natural mineral profile intact.

It's NASAA certified for organic input and third-party tested for heavy metals - then packed in amber glass, never plastic.

How Our Salt Is Naturally Formed

From harvest to jar, here's exactly what happens to it, and what doesn't.

  • Third-party heavy metal tested
  • NASAA certified for organic input
  • Unrefined and unbleached
  • No anti-caking agents or additives
  • Harvested with minimal intervention
  • Naturally crystallised by the sun
