I searched for so long to find a prenatal I was happy with, some were terrible, some were ok, some came close but still missed the mark because of the type of vitamin and mineral they would use even if some were excellent they might sneak in a synthetic one, or their excipients were too questionable and not something I wanted to ingest. I love the fact that there's no active ingredient magnesium in it as it's better to take this away from zinc because they can compete for absorption. I love that there's choline in it and activated b vitamins which are better absorbed. I love that it has included everything you would need so you don't have to worry, especially in the first trimester when it can be so difficult to eat a balanced diet due to the morning sickness. The only small thing I could find that I would prefer is not in this one is the maltodextrin and magnesium stearate, but these are excipients so minor additions, not the active ingredients, which would be there in very small amounts and would be there for a reason to make the blend work in some way. Appreciate that it's listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods where the excipient list can be viewed for transparency. As I mentioned at the start this prenatal is the closest to perfect I could find after searching through so many.

I rate these prenatals! Firstly I like how they are choline rich, I only have to eat a couple of eggs per day to reach my goal. I like how they have no iron and DHA also so I can control supplementing that separately. I’ve had issues with nausea with other prenatals (seriously been through so many trying to find one that suits me!) and these are the most gentle I’ve found. I take 2 after breakfast and 1 after lunch. Love how everything is bioavailable too. Bub is growing well at 36 weeks!
I’ve started taking Maternally Happy prenatal shortly after finding out I was pregnant following extensive research and comparisons with other brands on the market. I liked the number of ingredients, their levels and bioavailability. I also liked that it didn’t have any added iron as I have a condition that already makes my levels naturally elevated, so that was an added bonus. I find that taking it during the first trimester is sometimes a bit challenging as it does have an “odour” but taking it with food makes it easier. Lastly I like the discreet packaging, so that I can leave it on my work desk to remind me of taking without coworkers noticing it is a prenatal. I also think the price is very reasonable and I’ll keep re-ordering it throughout my pregnancy.
These prenatals have been life changing. They are so easy to tolerate with the dreaded first trimester nausea and have made managing my iron levels so much easier as a seperate dosage. I am a repeat purchaser and have told all my pregnant friends to make the switch!

The best prenatal on the market for sure and I have tried a few... Great ingredients and good amounts of them. I also don't need to take half the capsules I was taking like choline, selenium, b12 etc because this contains great the daily requirements. I have tolerated them well in the 1st trimester - haven't had horrid morning sickness though as a disclaimer but they are super easy to take. I take one with each meal to help absorption! Love they are caps not hard tablets too. Beautiful formulation and have told all my pregnant gals and clients.

Loved this pregnancy multi vitamin. Bought it specifically as it has a high level of choline which is missing or deficient in many others. I also loved that it doesn't include iron. It allows me to skip that altogether if I don't need it or buy separately and take the dose I actually need. Would 100% recommend

The after taste is heavy on Vit C...not as much of an issue now I'm in 2nd trimester. Also you need to take 3 capsules a day....should have read more carefully prior to purchasing. However, very good prenatal with great ingredients otherwise. Happy.
I’ve been really happy with this supplement as a pre- and postnatal supplement. Pretty happy with these. Only downside is the taste and smell.
I have only taken this for a month now and I feel a slight change in energy. But so far of taking it on a daily routine it doesn't make me feel sick or leave a bad after taste. I take the meg 1hr before bed hoping that in 2months time the 3 products will balance my body. Im looking forward to buying more. I would have taken a photo but I had already finished the bottle.

Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate that must first be converted in the body before it can be used. We choose Quatrefolic® (5-MTHF), a methylated folate, because it is a biologically active form of folate - the same form that naturally circulates in the body. Unlike folic acid, it does not require enzymatic conversion and can be utilised directly.
Our prenatal provides 550mg of choline, meeting the entire recommended daily intake (RDI) for both pregnancy and breastfeeding. During pregnancy, choline requirements are around 440-450mg per day. This increases to 550mg per day in late pregnancy and when breastfeeding.
We left iron out of our formulation on purpose. Here are 3 reasons why:

When formulating we found that 1-2 capsules didn't contain enough room to optimise dosages. Folate and choline receive much attention during preconception right through to postpartum, and rightfully so, which is why The Prenatal contains 500mcg of methyl-folate and 550mg of choline. However, we wanted to ensure we didn’t overlook other essential vitamins and minerals needed to support every stage of motherhood. Using 3 capsules provided us with essentially more 'space' to include everything you and your baby needs in 3 easy-to-swallow capsules.
Ideally, supplementation is considered 3-6 months prior to conception. If this isn’t possible, your healthcare professional may recommend starting as soon as pregnancy is confirmed. Many health professionals also suggest continuing a prenatal throughout pregnancy and into the postpartum period, particularly while breastfeeding. If you are not breastfeeding, your practitioner can advise on the most appropriate duration for you.
Ideally, take two capsules together after breakfast (at least 30-60 minutes away from caffeine) and one at lunchtime.
Alternatively, you can take all doses together, whichever suits your lifestyle best.
We recommend avoiding taking the prenatal at night, as it contains B vitamins and vitamin D which increase energy levels, making it harder to wind down for the evening.
You can empty your capsules into a smoothie or flavoured yoghurt. You can also freeze them into icy-poles or juice. Consume immediately.
There may be a slight taste or smell when swallowing the capsules, which is common in supplements containing therapeutic levels of B vitamins and high dose choline.
Yes, many prenatal vitamins have a noticeable smell - this is very common, especially in formulas that contain B vitamins and higher doses of choline, which our product includes.
Each daily serve provides 550 mg of choline - the recommended daily intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Choline plays an important role in supporting healthy brain development and is essential during pregnancy and postpartum.
While the scent might seem a little strong (especially if pregnant!), it reflects the therapeutic dosing and nutrient density of the formulation. When developing our prenatal, ingredient quality and effectiveness were top priorities - ensuring you receive nutrients in their most effective forms. We also don’t use artificial flavours or coatings, so you can be confident that health and transparency are always prioritised.
This can happen, and it’s completely harmless. It’s usually due to the presence of B vitamins - most commonly vitamin B2 (riboflavin).
